Leaving Venice

Tuesday Sept. 1 we left Venice for the Croatian. We had a very nice time in Venice. What made it special is the marina we stayed in. I would highly recommend to  anyone boating in the Venice area to stay at Santelena. A special thank you to Augusto and Stefano who guided us to our berth and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.

The crossing was again very nice and calm. It took a little longer going back, as we had a tidal current going against us on our departure.

We cleared into Croatia in Porece, the same place we left from to go across to Italy. and made our way down south stopping in  Rovinj for a walk around town. The same day we proceeded to go south and stopped at the anchorage in Uvala Kanalic. The following day we made the crossing from the main land coast to the start of the string of island's all along the Croatian's coast. Our first Island was Losinj. We docked on the down town wall of Mali Losinj.

The rugged  coast line of Croatian's northern shores.

Many pretty towns along the coast.

Happy Hour at our anchorage in Uvala Kanalic.

Again we had a visit from Salomon, the floating store.

We had to try some of his "plumb cake"

After sampling the  "rakia" we decided to pass on it.

The lighthouse off the point of the Istra peninsula.

                                                      Our stop in Mali Losinj.
