Finally a living sign from us!

It has been some three weeks since our last report. This is partly due to the fact that we have not had good e-mail coverage, and partly because we have been very busy. Yes we have been busy!! It is a lot of work making all the decisions as to what we need, or want where, where, and how it should be installed, etc. etc.
Also we needed to finish the registration, including getting the name approved. Just yesterday we received a call from the ships registrar and where told that all the documents where finally in and the registration was completed. This allowed us to obtain the cruising permit we need while cruising in US waters.

Joanne has been busy attending to all the duties that make a boat into a (floating) home. That includes stocking the galley, not only with food, but also the needed household items. Finding the right place to store the different items is a challenge on a boat, as space is precious. Stuff has to be stowed so as to not bounce all over the place in rough seas, yet it has to be easily accessible when needed.

We are starting to see the light in the end of the tunnel, and hope to have most of the systems in place by the end of this week (Friday 23 ) All that is left after that is to finish our training on a single prop boat. This should take no more than a couple of days, and we are ready to cruise.
I will try posting some more pictures once we have a good high speed internet access.

Until then Bill and Joanne aboard Le reve
